From the experience of numerous earthquake disasters, the interest in isolation structure
is rising. Recently, seismic isolation structures have been actively adopted in high-rise
buildings as the isolation technology improves. However, when adopting the seismic
isolation structure in a high-rise building, its usefulness is questioned against wind loads
having properties different from those of earthquakes, and one of the issues is to evaluate
fatigue damage degree of the seismic isolation damper. In this study, we analyze the wind
response using wind external force created based on the typhoon simulation and show the
adequate wind direction and the validity of the equivalent duration in the 10 minute
evaluation shown in the current wind resistance design guidelines.
