This commentary looks at issues and challenges that were encountered in relation to nuclear risk communication in the aftermath of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Accident. Conventional practices are critically examined to consider how risk communication
in the nuclear sector should be reconstructed, and what governments and
experts should do to regain the lost public trust.
