Abstract
Possible X-ray pulsations with a period of 67.4s were discovered by Tenma from the massive binary X-ray source 4U 1700-37. Due to the similarity of characteristics with other massive X-ray pulsars, pulsations of 4U 1700-37 have long been suspected. The pulsations were observed only during the brightest flare of 4U 1700-37, while no indication of pulsation was found during the quiescent state. This suggests a possible change in the X-ray emission area on the neutron star depending on accretion rate.
