Vibration generator tests are often utilized to grasp the vibration characteristics of building, and to check the performances of passive control devices. This paper proposes an experimental method which can simulate the shaking table test, using only one vibration generator. In this method, the vibration force is calculated by using the floor response time history data obtained from the shaking table test. This paper shows the control method of the vibration generator to get the force which is calculated with the method to simulate the shaking table test. Vibration generator tests are conducted with proposal methods, and these compared with the shaking table tests which were carried out in 2007. The agreement of response between the vibration generator tests and the shaking table tests is confirmed.
