Abstract In this paper, the effects and challenges of the international student recruitment and social integration efforts in the State of South Australia (SA) will be analyzed based on the interviews with former international students, state government officers, university and related organizations’ staff, and by comparison of the SA’s Strategic Plan in 2004 and 2011.
