Abstract A Ni/SiO2 catalyst with hierarchical porous structure was fabricated by template method. As the templates, mesoporous silica and organic monolith were used with a viewpoint of high-efficient catalyst carrier. In thermal CO2 reduction experiment, the catalyst on the hierarchical structure showed higher CO2 conversion efficiency and CH4 selectivity than the catalyst on mesoporous silica structure.
