Abstract Divacant lacunary polyoxotungstate (Bu4N+)4[ホウ-SiW10O34(H2O)2] (1) is an efficient homogeneous catalyst for highly selective oxidn. of organosilanes to silanols with 30-60 % aq. H2O2. Various kinds of silanes, Ph2MeSiH, Et3SiH, (C6H13)3SiH, tBuMe2SiH, Bu3SiH, iPr3SiH, (EtO)3SiH, (BuO)3SiH, RMe2SiH (R = Ph, 4-MeOC6H4, 4-MeC6H4, 4-CF3C6H4, ClCH2, PhC竕。C, PhCH:CH) contg. aryl, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, and alkoxy groups are chemoselectively converted into the corresponding silanols in high yields with only one equiv of aq.
