Abstract Chiral ligand-modified polyoxometalates (POMs), (Bu4N)4[ホウ-SiTi2W10O36(ホシ-OH)2(ホシ-BINOLate)], were successfully synthesized by the introduction of (R)- or (S)-BINOL into the dititanium-substituted tungstosilicate POM in an org. medium and characterized by x-ray crystallog., spectroscopy, and elemental analyses. These BINOL-modified POMs were stable in the soln. state and showed catalytic activity for asym. oxidn. of thioanisole. [on SciFinder(R)]
