Abstract In recent years, it is widely recognized that natural energy such as sunlight is important energy generation source, and energy management system (EMS) using natural energy is expected to build a low-carbon society. In this paper, we report the modeling of the Si-bifacial photovoltaic (PV) module and the accuracy evaluation of simulation at Hokuriku region where is one of heavy snowing area in Japan. The PV module is modeled using simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis (SPICE) which is one of the popular electronic circuit simulators, and the model reproduces the PV power generation at Hokuriku region. Through simulations with the model we made, it is clarified that EMS simulation with SPICE is effective and useful.
