Abstract PLED devices with phenyl substituted carbazole dendrimers GnPh as phosphorescent host materials were investigated. G3Ph and G4Ph are efficient phosphorescent hosts having high triplet energy and good alcohol resistance. These high generation dendrimers have certain compatibility for solution-based multilayer construction in OS approach. Our findings demonstrate that, for dendritic materials, not only the solvent resistance but also the interaction between the solutes and underlying dendrimer films needs to be considered.
