Abstract Communication experiments with IPv6, which is the next generaton protocol, are now underway. In this paper, we will examine a remote control technology that makes full use of the characteristics of IPv6 and describe how to design a real-time control system for devices connected to IPv4/v6 networks in which we have been engaged.
