Abstract We did measurement and appraisal of the IPv6 Internet in order to grasp the present network condition. We observed the MSS of TCP, TTL of IPv4 and Hop Limit of IPv6 between dual-stak server and client, and compared those parameters. On basis of this measurement results, we evaluate the present condition of the IPv6 internet. As a result, it is presumed that the ratio of IPv6 multihoming is less than that of IPv4. In addition, it is thought that it is the effective parameter which presumes the present condition of IPv6 network.
