In recent years, more and more applications use ad hoc networks for local area communications, es- pecially in key technologies that are expected to play a vital role in future society, such as an ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) supporting autonomous car driving, CPSs (Cyber-Physical Systems) like smart grids, and applications like the IoT platform. In general, communication entity is shifting from human to thing, thus con- sidering the communication delay is very important in the study of ad-hoc networks. In WSNs (Wireless Sensor Networks), sensor nodes are equipped with low-energy processor for severe restrictions on power consumption, and the communication relaying costs on every nodes cannot be ignored. In this paper, to measure the processing delay caused by communication relaying, we plan and carry out an experiment in a simple OLSR ad-hoc network built with Raspberry Pi Zero W.
