Ru(OH)x/Al2O3 efficiently catalyzed the heterogeneous aerobic oxygenation or oxidative dehydrogenation of alkylarenes to give the corresponding oxygenated or dehydrogenated products. Catalyst/product sepn. was very easy, and the recovered catalyst was reusable with retention of the high catalytic performance. [on SciFinder(R)]
