The aim of this study is to clarify the methods of daylighting from skylight in the open-stack reading space. Open-stack reading space has been created sevral typologies of arrangement of stacks and seats to get the daylight into interior for reading in its history. The periphery wall at library space is the important element that book shelves stand and where sunlight coming in. These typologies can be seen as the result of the composition of stacks and reading space toward daylighting from side window. This paper tries to gure out the characters of composition of stacks and reading space toward skylight.
