In recent years, virtual inertia control is attracting attention. However, some virtual inertia controls are reported that they may cause continuous active power oscillation. This paper focuses on the active power oscillation in a current controlled inverter with virtual inertia control and reveals that the oscillation is caused by the instability phenomenon by using control theory.
