アブストラクト As buildings become taller, seismic control structures using hysteretic dampers have become widespread. These dampers yield at low load levels, mainly for earthquakes. As a result, hysteretic dampers installed for response reduction may yield under both earthquakes and wind forces. Wind-induced responses persist much longer than seismic responses; therefore, it is important to consider fatigue damage of hysteretic dampers subjected to wind forces. However, predicting wind-induced damage remains challenging. In this paper, we analyze the wind-induced damage of hysteretic dampers installed in a high-rise building, considering wind response with changing wind speed and direction through time-history analysis.
