A SIMULATION METHOD OF SLIP PHENOMENA OF HIGH-FRICTION ELASTIC SLIDING BEARINGS SUBJECTED TO SINUSOIDAL LOADS WITH MEAN COMPONENT SIMULATING WIND LOADS
The friction coefficient of elastic sliding bearings exhibits velocity-dependence, a characteristic that is particularly strong in the low-velocity range assumed relevant to wind-resistant design. This paper conducts load-controlled experiments using a sinusoidal wave with mean component in the low-velocity range. From the experiment results, it was confirmed that displacement-responses increase. This phenomenon is considered as stick-slip phenomenon. However, conventional models cannot reproduce this phenomenon. In this study, we proposed a new simulation method for representing this phenomenon. The simulation results of the proposed model were validated via comparing the load-controlled experiment.
