Despite the increasing number of base-isolated high-rise building in Japan, it is still difficult to
determine the effect of the seismic isolation device due to the long natural period of the building
erected and the fatigue damage of the seismic isolation damper caused by external wind force.
Although there are several analysis reports that verify the effectiveness of seismic isolation structure,
there are far fewer reports that are based on observation records. It is imperative for future design to
grasp the actual behavior of built high-rise base-isolated building during earthquake and strong wind.
In this paper, the researchers proposed a time-history response analysis model that can predict the
actual building response using dynamic characteristics based on observation record of high-rise baseisolated
building.
