Brazilian Social Housing (BSH), particularly through the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program, faces sustainability, cost, and quality challenges due to its reliance on concrete and masonry. Recent policy shifts have encouraged timber-based alternatives, building on vernacular traditions across Brazil and enabling industrialized systems such as CNC (Computer Numerical Control) fabricated joineries. This study evaluated CNC applicability through problem–solution alignment, verification, and simulation. Findings indicate that CNC offers design flexibility, lower environmental impact, feasible material availability, and faster assembly with fewer workers, though it remains more costly than BSH budgets. Results appear promising, emphasizing the need for context-specific research.
